Cybersecurity of DER DSO data exchanges From European Regulations to Italian Norms

The recorded presentation concerns the cybersecurity solutions for the communications between the Central Plant Controller and the distribution network operator.

The recorded presentation concerns the Italian experience on the implementation of cybersecurity solutions for information exchanges between generation plants of power equal to or greater than 1 Megawatt and the distribution network operator. The regulatory process is illustrated which, starting from the data exchanges required by the Network Code on network observability,

ended with the technical specification, based on international IEC standards, which regulates the technological solutions for the communications and cybersecurity. The presentation details the IEC 62351 security profiles of the IEC 61850 communications of the Central Plant Controller – CCI and the cybersecurity certifications required for the

CCI. The activity saw the involvement of all interested actors such as network operators, ARERA, CEI Technical Committees, manufacturers of control devices, owners of generation plants from renewable sources.
