Activities carried out by RSE in 2020 for the dissemination of results and the exchange of knowledge with public and private stakeholders in the field of ‘Electric mobility and its integration and interaction with the electrical system’

Summary of the dissemination and knowledge exchange activities that took place in 2020 as part of the WP ‘Electric mobility and its integration and interaction with the electrical system.’ Indication of the main events organized by RSE, participation in conferences and working groups, meetings with operators and institutions, published articles, and further dissemination actions.

Despite the restrictions due to the Covid-19 health emergency, the activities of the electric mobility project and the WP ‘Electric mobility and its integration and interaction with the electrical system’ gave RSE many opportunities to disseminate its results and exchange knowledge with other sector stakeholders. In particular, the interaction with other operators has provided interesting ideas for the development of technological solutions as well as guaranteed ongoing updating

on the sector evolution and the need for further research activities. This document reports a very concise description of all the opportunities for discussion that RSE had in 2020. These took multiple forms:

  • Launch event of experimental RSE activities with e-Mobility FCA;
  • National and international scientific and sector conferences;
  • Participation in regulatory committees and in particular in the Vehicle-To-Grid Task Force of CT 316 – Connections to high, medium and low voltage electrical networks;
  • Participation in national and international bodies such as the International Energy Agency

(IEA), Technology Collaboration Program ‘Hybrid & Electric Vehicle’;

  • Meetings with industrial operators, associations, institutions and public bodies;
  • Preparation of articles in sector magazines and for conference proceedings;
  • Web diffusion channels;
  • Interviews and contributions to radio, television and web-TV programs.

Even though the WP is the subject of the deliverable and is mainly dedicated to technical issues, there were several opportunities and methods for disseminating and exchanging knowledge. This demonstrates a particular attention of operators, the industrial sector and institutions in charge of planning and management activities to the topic of charging infrastructure, its functionality and its technological prospects.
