Project 2.4 – Dissemination of results and support for legislation – 2022

The dissemination of the results of the “Digitization of the Integrated Energy System” project has been carried out through various communication channels, taking advantage of participation in conferences, standardization committees and meetings with industry professionals. The actions taken made it possible to reach a wide audience, both nationally and internationally.

This report documents the contributions made by RSE in the various areas of outreach for the dissemination of the results of the “Digitization of the Integrated Energy System” project. The usual tools from the technical-scientific sphere were used, such as the publication of memos at conferences in the electro-energy and ICT sectors as well as presentations at events at the national and international level. Specific meetings were also organized with operators of electrical and energy networks, suppliers of electrical and electronic devices, and IT and telecommunications industries.

Dissemination of the results was also addressed to regulatory or pre-normative committees, particularly within CEI, IEC, and the regulatory authority ARERA through meetings or the preparation of contributions on specific topics of interest. Particularly important is the contribution to the activity of the CEI committee CT 57 “Information Exchange Associated with the Management of Electric Power Systems”, in which utilities, manufacturers, and service providers participate.

Collaborating as members of CT 57 also in the activities of CT 316 “Connection to High, Medium, and Low Voltage Electric Distribution Networks”, CT 13 “Measurement and Control of Electricity,” and CT 310 “Power Line Communications”, RSE contributes to the standardization of medium and low voltage control devices. On this topic, RSE contributes in particular to the device specification for the control of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, solicited by ARERA, which uses the functionality of the new second-generation energy meters.

The report documents the actions carried out in the various areas of dissemination, along with the list of available publications. The dissemination actions carried out demonstrate the relevance of research activities for the digitization process of energy infrastructure.
