Project 2.4 – Dissemination of results and support to standardization – 2023

The report documents RSE’s contributions to disseminating the “Digitalization of the Integrated Energy System” project. Through conferences and meetings, operators in the electro-energetic and ICT sectors were involved. Dissemination efforts targeted normative committees such as CEI, IEC, and ARERA, with a specific focus on CEI CT 57.

The present report documents the contributions provided by RSE in various dissemination areas for the diffusion of results from the “Digitalization of the Integrated Energy System” project. The usual tools of the technical-scientific field have been employed, such as publishing papers at conferences in the electro-energetic and ICT sectors and giving presentations at national and international events.

Meetings with operators of electrical and energy networks, suppliers of electrical and electronic devices, and industries in the IT and telecommunications sectors have also been organized. The dissemination of results has been directed towards normative and pre-normative committees, particularly within CEI and IEC frameworks, and the regulatory authority ARERA through meetings or the preparation of contributions on specific topics of interest.

A significant contribution has been made to the activities of the CEI CT 57Information exchange associated with the management of power systems,” involving utilities, manufacturers, and service providers. By participating as members of CT 57, RSE also contributes to the activities of CT 316Connection to High, Medium, and Low Voltage Distribution Networks,” CT 13Measurement and Control of Electrical Energy,” and CT 310Power Line Communications“, contributing to the standardization of control devices connected in medium and low voltage.

On this topic, RSE specifically contributes to the specification of the device for the control of electric vehicle charging infrastructures, requested by ARERA, which utilizes the functionalities of the new second-generation energy meters. The report documents the actions taken in various dissemination areas, along with a list of available publications. The dissemination activities carried out demonstrate the relevance of research activities for the process of digitizing energy infrastructures.
