Energy Corridor Optimisation, for the European Markets of Gas, Electricity And Hydrogen

The outcomes of the co-ordination action ENCOURAGED are threefold:

1) to assess the economically optimum interconnections of electricity, gas and hydrogen between the EU end the neighbouring regions;
2) to identify, quantify and evaluate the barriers and potential benefits of a large European energy connected area;
3) to recommend the necessary measures to be adopted to ensure, realise and implement an optimisation of energy corridors and a high-level of network security.
