The aforementioned goals have led to the following main activities and results:

1) data collection of current DG state of the art in the world and of DG RTD excellence in the EU, including a data base of DG suppliers;
2) study on DG opportunities and technical assessment of DG technologies and trends of technical developments;
3) significant case studies on communication interface and interconnection barriers to the grid and action plan for reducing interconnection barriers at European level;
4) drawing of recommended practices for standardisation and testing & certification procedures;
5) guidelines for improved access and role of DG and RES in energy trading and evaluated interviews with energy trading stakeholders;
6) recommendations for institutional policy and regulatory framework and indications for further RTD needs;
7) Socio-economic research on commercial practices and business terms;
8) wide dissemination of the project outputs
