This team will design in a coordinated way with both Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs) a set of accompanying activities to make sure that the EEGI will pass through the critical 2012-2014 period.

In fact in this period several important outcomes are expected to ensure an efficient development of the European Electricity system: e.g. preparation of FP8, initial operation of ACER – Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators; increased specification duties of the network operators. In particular the GRID+ coordination action aims at addressing five critical issues typical of the most complex electricity systems: costs; benefits; KPIs – Key Performance Indicators definition, knowledge sharing and financing. Finally the project will involve all the stakeholders, to ensure rational, fluid and stable workflow for EEGI and to ensure the as to reach safely the 2020 European goals.
