ENEA (the Italian Agency for New Technology, Energy and Environment), CESI (the Institute for research and certification of electric components and systems), MATT (the Ministry of Environment an Land Protection), all the Italian Regions and some Italian PV industries are the most active operators. In this paper will provide a general overview on the present day activities and future perspectives in the field of R&D and Demonstration, Industry and market development with a particular emphasis on the Italian Roof-top Programme and the business value.
