    E-survey on offshore wind energy sector in Italy: results of the first launch

    Nella memoria sono riportati i risultati del questionario online che RSE ha progettato e lanciato nel mese di gennaio 2015 sull’opinione dell’industria italiana sullo sviluppo del settore dell’eolico offshore.

    Offshore wind energy sector has developed quickly in the last years in the North Sea area for its favorable conditions: high wind resource, shallow waters and sandy sea bottoms. Offshore wind energy sector in Italy is not yet developed. In order to understand that, to better configure the future energy production scenarios outlined by the National Energy Strategy and to assess what would be the involvement of Italian companies in the development of this sector, RSE designed, implemented and launched an e-survey to 90 interested industrial organizations in January 2015.

    This survey contains both open-end and closed questions concerning the interest of the national companies in this specific sector as well as the main issues affecting its development. The participation was anonymous and the response rate was greater than 45%. The contents of the e-survey and the results of the first launch are presented.
