    La ricerca di sistema: una grande opportunità per la normativa elettrica

    Alberto Pigini* Rivista: ISO Focus, Giugno 2004 *CESI SpA Over the next decades, all the energy scenarios foresce an important development of the electrical system and, in particular, the electrical generation system, still strongly based on combustion of fossil fuels by conventional combustion cycles, with natural gas playing the major role, but with a significant role played by coal. Power generation has an impact on the environment both in terms of natural resource exploitation and of the quality of the environment itself. Environmental impact has to be weighed up against the other positive impacts of power generation within the framework of a sustainable development approach.
